- Switch off lights and electrical equipment when you are not using them.
- Make a habit of switching off the lights when you leave a room.

- Try and set off the dish washing machine when it is completely full. If it only has a half-load use the quick or economical programmes.
- Iron a large amount of clothes at the same time.
- Use a super rapid pressure cooker whenever you can. It releases hardly any steam while cooking, uses less energy, and saves a lot of time.
- Watch your water consumption. Don’t leave taps running unnecessarily (for example: when washing, shaving, or brushing your teeth).
- Let hot food cool down before putting it in the fridge.
- Switch off the oven just before the food is cooked. The residual heat will be enough to ensure the food is properly cooked.
- 20ºC will keep you and your family comfortable at home. The recommended temperature in bedrooms is 3 to 5ºC less
- Remember that a shower uses about 4 times less water and energy than a bath.
